About Us

Hi!

We are a bunch of frugal travelers. Our families think we don’t afford European excursions but every year, we make our case stronger. We manage it and we manage well within our means! And to be honest, we feel bad for our spa-loving, luxury-defined friends. We feel that what separates an authentic travel experience from an unauthentic one, is money.

Well, yeah, we see the glass as half full! We believe that having fewer means enhances our experiences. We are usually more in tune with local cultures – when it comes to living, food, traveling – than people who will stay in plazas, travel by taxis, and do some “fine” dining. Whoever said, do in Rome as the Romans do, really hit the nail on its head.

And have we managed to hit yours?

We are a group of 3 ardent travelers.

Emma belongs to Rotterdam, and has been traveling the Benelux countries – the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg – for a few years now. The region, she feels, is very vibrant and welcoming. The plethora of international cultures is exquisitely intertwined with local tradition, history and architecture.

Steve, a Fresno, USA local, is an aficionado for France and the Catalan countries of Spain and Portugal. Two cultures so wide apart, it is almost a shock that one person can feel so attached to both. But that’s Steve for you. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. The class of the French and the friendliness of the Spanish is what you can expect from our Steve.

Jordan is our equivalent of the Lebanese shawerma. No points for guessing, it was his love for cuisine and munchies – the Italian pizzas and pastas, and the exquisite chocolates associated with the Swiss and the Sacher Torte of the Austrians – that formed the ingredients for his obsession with the region.
